When you buy a book at a store, start to read it or read it completely and don't like it, do you return it?

i spent too much time debating that question over a book i finished in 1 hour when i was in 9th grade. i didn't return it, so each time i come out of the bathroom at my mom's house, i see this book on the bookshelf and rethink my decision. the book was a memour about john liguizamo i heard about on rosie odonnels show. super lame and inapproriate for a 9th grader but oh well.

John Leguizamo? Oh my gosh! I'm sorry Rosie led you astray--that would be quite the memoir for a 9th grader. So you've never returned a book?

If it's undamaged and you still have the receipt, why not?

What book was it?

That's the thing. Apparently there are rumors of people returning Breaking Dawn. Now if they just bought it and didn't read the first three, I can understand why it wouldn't be a very enjoyable read. But I have never returned a book because I didn't like it. It seems weird...like instead I should try to sell it to a used bookstore or give it to someone. Or in my and Lindsey's case, keep it at my parents'.

All those stupid teenagers! (rolls eyes) What did they expect? The author's a mormon for heaven sakes, of COURSE there's not going to be any graphic sex scenes and bloody battles and of course she's not going to cheat on Edward with Jacob! I lament at how dumb the human race's need for drama can be.

I join in your lament!
